The Mogeely Aberdeen-Angus herd of Albert & Jennifer DeCogan, Killamuckey, Castlemartyr, Co. Cork put together an impressive run of results at the first major show of the summer at Bandon over the weekend, claiming the junior, senior and supreme breed championship titles.
The supreme Aberdeen-Angus championship was awarded to the senior cow, Mogeely Miylo P291. A regular winner on the 2016 show circuit, she looks set to continue her good run of form into 2017 with a first championship win of the season under her belt already. This one is a daughter of Rosemead Karona J957 and is out of Liss Miylo G863. Show judge, Mr. Pat Sheedy, Clonakenny, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary described his champion as ‘a splendid example of the breed’.
