The dispersal sale of the Coachman Aberdeen-Angus herd of Michael & Darren Lynch, Lissane, Drimoleague, Co Cork will take place at Macroom Mart, Macroom, Co Cork on Saturday, March 20th at 2pm, with online bidding taking place via MartEye.
This sale comprises of quality lots throughout all ages with 11 cows with calves at foot (including 9 bull calves, of which two are red bull calves), 2 in-calf cows, 3 stock bulls (over 500 kgs) and 1 maiden heifer all due to go under the hammer. The calves are sired by Lanigan Red Deep Canyon (ZLL), Micado, Carrigroe Cian and current herd stock sire, Lemonfield Lace. The herd was established in 2006 and was built up using the best bloodlines available in the intervening years with the herd average for replacement index on ICBF now standing at €134 which is massively above the national average figure of just €84 – thus reflecting the calibre and quality of the cattle at Coachman.
